PLACES

I find grace in classic mediums that require patience and contemplation. I’ve worked my whole career combining oil paint, black and white photographic negatives produced in my darkroom and writing in an autobiographical context. Over the last three decades, I have repeatedly revisited a house in Italy named Caffagio, which has provided a lodestone of inspiration, memory and sensual provocation. My choice of place is consistently in landscapes that evoke interpretations of time, place and belonging.
